Creating Pages With Optima Express

Creating Pages With Optima Express

Creating your IDX pages is a bit different from creating other pages in WordPress. Instead of clicking the Pages link on the left menu, we are going to create a menu and add custom links to it. Navigate to Appearance > Menus. Next, enter in a Menu Name and click ‘Create Menu’.

In a yellow box you should receive a verification that the "menu has been successfully created."

In the next step, you will want to navigate to Optima Express > IDX Pages. From here you will want to highlight the URL for the page you would like to make and select ‘Copy’.

note: On this page you may also alter the permalink, change the content found in the <title> tags, and alter the theme’s default template. Do not copy the Permalink for the Property Details page into a menu button as it not the actual address of a property.

Navigate to Appearance > Menus. Select the menu name you just created in the drop down box under Theme Location and click ‘Save’. Clear out the text in the URL field then right click paste the previous link you just copied. Give your IDX page a Label, and click ‘Add to Menu’.
