I am getting too many copies of e-mail updates. How can I change this?

You are probably set to receive a CC of every e-mail update we send to your subscriber. The most basic choice for receiving e-mail updates is whether you wish to receive a summary versus a copy of every single e-mail. Many of our clients find the single copy setting overwhelms their inbox, so they prefer a summary of the daily activity. You can filter which specific e-mails you would like to receive copies of in the 'Advanced Routing' section. First login to your client admin control panel. After logging in, hover your mouse over the 'Account Setup' link on the top Navigation bar. From the resulting drop down menu, select 'Email Setup'. This will produce a page with a row of tabs at the top. From that row of tabs select 'Advanced Routing'. You can select which e-mails you would like to receive, and in this section.

I stopped receiving e-mail updates all of a sudden. What can I do to fix this?

If you or your client stopped receiving e-mail updates your spam filter is the most likely the reason. Try white listing the address, or any other account you receive e-mails from. If whitelisting does not work, try whitelisting the mail server at IP address (129222-

E-mail update links directly to my site, but I don’t see my branding! What happened?

Your site may use a framed solution to access the iHomefinder tool. Our e-mail updates link directly to the iHomefinder tool by default. If you would like the e-mail update links to open in a fully framed page, then you must take the following steps:
  • Log in to your iHomefinder Control Panel
  • Hover your mouse over 'Account Setup'
  • From the drop down menu select 'Design/Branding Setup'
  • Select the 'Page Specific' tab on the resulting page.
  • From the red link list on the left hand side of the page, select 'Frame Set Code'
  • In the header of this section you need to input the Frameset or iFrame code that defines the basic branding of your site
  • Then, for the actual frame you wish the iHomefinder tool to appear in, you must replace the src attribute with 'FrameIncludeHere'
So, for example, the iFrame might look like <iframe src="FrameIncludeHere">. This should send links through your default framed branding and then open the actual e-mail update link in the specified frame of your choosing.

Can I search for non standard data (i.e., lease, purchase, or other data in the comments section)?

We can not search on non-standard data, as all search criteria must have data field to query. If you believe the data field is in the IDX data we receive, try sending in a support request for your desired search functionality. We can then check to see if the data supports the request, and if the MLS regulations allow us to perform such a search.

Can I add a property type to the drop down menu?

Our property type menu is currently confined to the following selections: Single Family/Condo, Lots/Land, Residential Income, Mobile Homes, Farms/Ranches, Rentals, and Commercial. If the property type you desire is on this list, but not currently active as an option on your MLS board, please submit a request for the addition of the property type to iHomefinder Support.

Can I modify any of the search fields, or build my own search form using iHomefinder?

An advanced search field can be added by request if the MLS data and our system can support your request. You can request modifications to the advanced search field by submitting a support request to iHomefinder. If you are wanting to build your own search form, your web developer will need to reverse engineer an existing search form. If you do this then the city list and other fields will have to be manually maintained by you. Alternatively you can modify an existing search form's appearance by using CSS.

How can I create accounts on my webpage for other Agents?

You must use a broker package to have access to the agent pages feature. You can upgrade to this package by contacting your Reseller, or iHomefinder. If you are already using a broker package, you can access the agent pages by logging into your control panel. Once logged in, you can hover your mouse over the "Agents/Offices" option on the top navigation menu. From the resulting drop down menu select "Manage Agents". This section allows you to Add an agent by selecting the "Add Agent" tab and filling out the required fields.

I’m a reseller, how can I create a demo account for my own use?

Yes, you can create a demo account for your own use. We have a demo board you can add to your account for all of your MLS testing purposes. This board should be clearly labelled "DEMO" and is board id 13 in our system. If you add this board, you can use the following Agent IDs 111123, 111122, 111121 or Office IDs 222222, 222223, 222228 to populate your featured properties page. Additionally, be sure to mark the account as a demo account in the options section, and place it into pending status.
