Overview
Widgets are a quick and easy way to add features to your WordPress website. If you have Eureka Search in your account, you have access to a Universal Search widget which is a very smart search widget you can place anywhere on your site. This compliments the beautiful map search provided with Eureka Search.

If your account does not include Eureka Search, the following property search widgets are available for your website:
- Quick search
- Address search
- MLS ID search
Other widgets included with Optima Express can display listings, links to listings pages, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the search widget that is provided with my WordPress theme?
Third party search widgets that may be provided by some WordPress themes will not be compatible with Optima Express. Instead, you can use the search widget provided with Optima Express.
What can I do with the map search options?
With Optima Express Power plan or Eureka/MarketBoost plan, a map search experience engages your site visitors with a visual search that provides instant results. To encourage browsing, listings are shown on a map without boundary restrictions and no search forms are required. This is particularly helpful for people who aren’t familiar with city or neighborhood names in the area.
Eureka Search
With Eureka Search, your site provides a search experience like the big search websites that consumers are familiar with. You can add any number of Eureka Search maps to your site, each with different default locations. Learn how >
Standard Map Search
This map search is provided in Optima Express Power and Broker plans that do not include Eureka Search. You can add any number of these map searches to your site, each with different default locations. Learn how >
Draw on Map
In Power plans and above, the Property Search form provides a tab labeled “Draw on Map”. Selecting this tab allows users to draw a shape on a map to locate available listings.
If you want to create galleries of listings in locations you define by drawing on a map, the Markets feature will allow you to do this.
Can visitors draw an area on a map to search?
Yes – a “Draw on Map” (polygon) search option is included in Power, Eureka/MarketBoost, Gold and Broker plans. it is found in a tab labeled “Draw on Map” within the property search pages and the Email Alerts signup page.
How do I customize the search options?
The Knowledgebase article “Search Form Customization” discusses customization options for search forms.
And make sure you take advantage of Search Location Customization which makes the “Location” field in your search forms recognize more locations as they are typed.

Standard Search
If your account does not include Eureka Search, you can make the Location field recognize additional locations such as School District, Neighborhood or Subdivision (where available in your MLS) to bring users quickly to properties in these areas. This works in the quick search widget and the property search page.
