Making The Most Of Open House Leads
/0 Comments/in Agent and Broker Resources, Product News & Tips /by hankIn-person open house events may not be happening much right now, but they will certainly be back and producing new leads again. There are currently lots of virtual open house events that also produce leads. Some agents might take their event attendee list and add them to their newsletter email list, but we think you can do something more powerful that will have more influence on turning these leads into closing clients.
With Marketing Automation provided in our Agent CRM, you can place these leads into a dedicated follow-up campaign that continuously provides market activity and stats for the open house community. This is far more engaging and productive than relying on your business card or adding these leads to a one-size-fits-all, generic drip email campaign.
Create A MarketBoost Market
If you haven’t already, create a MarketBoost Market for the open house community. This Market data will be used as Smart Content within your email campaign described in the next step.
Create The Open House Follow-Up Email Campaign
You’ll now set up an email campaign in your IDX Control Panel. You can copy the buyer campaign provided with your account rather than building a new campaign from scratch. Learn how to copy and edit campaigns here.
Once you have copied the buyer campaign, you can edit the first email so it has an appropriate follow-up greeting for the event attendees. This is your chance to formally introduce yourself as an agent, share the value you bring, and invite them to reach out if they have any questions. If you can create a short video to add, that makes it even better!
In the campaign settings, set the Smart Content to be based on the MarketBoost Market you created for the open house community.
Add Leads
For an in-person open house event, you can enter attendee’s information and add them to the campaign right on your phone or tablet with Optima Leads, our mobile app for agents. If you have a list with names and email addresses (as you might with a virtual open house event), you can log into your IDX Control Panel to add the leads and then assign them to the campaign.
After The Campaign
Follow-up campaigns in the Agent CRM will eventually end after a certain time that will depend on what was set up in the campaign. At that time, you can look at a lead’s activity details in your IDX Control Panel to see if they’re subscribed to any MarketBoost Market reports or email alerts for searches they may have saved on your site. If they have, they’ll continue to receive those emails indefinitely, keeping you and your services top of mind with them. If not, you can add them as a subscriber to a monthly MarketBoost Market reports for MarketBoost Market you created for the open house community.
